2023 Teachers of the Year Gala Celebration

On the evening of May 11, 2023, seventy-four teacher of the year campus nominees from every school were honored during the Teacher of the Year Gala at the Plano Event Center. We celebrated with a fun-filled evening because Plano ISD "Believes in the Magic!" Thank you to the many sponsors who made this event possible by providing sponsorships and gifts for nominees, finalists and the top two winning teachers of the year. It was a wonderful celebration for those who believe in the magic of our Plano ISD students! 

From the campus honorees, 10 teachers were honored as finalists and named the 2023 Marilyn Brooks Excellence in Teaching Award Winners. From this group, the district's two teachers of the year were selected.

Board Secretary Jeri Chambers; Board Vice President Nancy Humphrey; Elementary Teacher of the Year Jessica Williams; Secondary Teacher of the Year Ashley Hendrickson; Superintendent of Schools Dr. Theresa Williams and Trustee Dr. Lauren Tyra.
