Howdy, Dooley Dragons! I am so excited to join the Dooley family as your new Assistant Principal!
My Plano ISD journey began as a student, attending Wells Elementary, Schimelpfenig Middle School, Jasper High School, and graduating from Plano Senior High School. My mom was also a sub-school secretary at Plano West Senior High School from 2000-2020.
After receiving my undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma, I obtained my teaching certification and joined the Otto Middle School for their inauguration in 2010 as a Special Education teacher. At Otto, I worked as a Strategist, Developmental (Life Skills) teacher, BASE/FOCUS teacher, and team leader. In 2018, I transitioned to Murphy Middle School as their Special Education department chair and ACHIEVE teacher. While I was at Murphy, I also earned my Masters degree from Western Governors University and achieved my principal certification.
I hope my growth mindset, positivity, knowledge, professional experience, and life experience helps build upon the strongly developed culture at Dooley.
Outside of school, my wife and I are proud parents of four "fur babies" - two 19-year-old cats (Sid and Nancy) and two pups (PB - a black lab/German Shepherd mix, and Koji - a Shiba Inu). I also enjoy cooking, watching Dallas Mavericks basketball, taking road trips, accumulating house plants, and most recently - gardening.
Thank you for being a part of, and for welcoming me to, your Dooley Family! Let's have a great year!
