Ms. Griselda Ruvalcaba

Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year! I am Ms. Ruvalcaba and this is my 15th year teaching and my 15th year at Jackson Elementary. I have taught 1st grade bilingual, 3rd grade bilingual and 4th grade bilingual.  I have my bachelor’s degree in bilingual education, my master’s degree in curriculum & instruction, and I am getting a second master’s degree in school counseling all from UNT Denton.  I love being a Jackson Jaguar and I love UNT!

I was born in Wylie, Texas and am Mexican American.  My family is from Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico.  I love to travel and before teaching I was a nursing assistant 6 years and a flight attendant with American Airlines.  My original plan was to travel the world, but I got my wings (graduated Flight Academy) right before 9-11 and lost my job afterwards.  I discovered my love for teaching after volunteering at my church and teaching Sunday school.
