Before becoming a teacher, I worked in various fields, including book publishing and university media affairs. I was lucky enough to stay home with our son until he was 10 years old, and I volunteered at the schools he attended. I was so inspired by my classroom experiences that I decided to become a certified educator. I started as a student teacher in Plano ISD, and have been in the district since 2011. Each day at Meadows Elementary is a day for growth, challenges, and achievement, and each day, my students and colleagues inspire me to become a better teacher and a better person.
