Tonya Griffith began teaching in 1993 and joined the Brinker staff in 1994.  This is her 28th  wonderful year here at Brinker. She has taught 5th and 3rd grades but feels her true love is with teaching third graders.  She loves children and believes teaching is the most rewarding job.   She received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Education with a specialization in Reading from the University of North Texas.  She is also an ESL and PACE certified teacher.  

Her greatest joy is her seventeen year old son, David Allan.  She enjoys traveling with her husband Bill and son David, spending time with her family, and shopping with her friends.  Her family also includes her two mischievous dogs, Ricky and Lucy.  She is looking forward to this school year and getting to know her new third graders.
