Hello students and families! My name is Mrs. Jenia Cortes, I am so honored to be Brinker’s Assistant Principal! This will be my sixteenth year in Plano ISD. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in EC-4 and English as a Second Language (ESL). I received my Masters in Educational Administration from Concordia University, Austin, Texas, in 2011. I have taught grades K-3. I was selected to be a part of Plano’s Leadership Development Academy as well as Plano’s Aspiring Assistant Principal Academy. I am looking forward to getting to know all of our families and staff. In addition to leading, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time at the beach with my family and Mini Australian Shepherd, Lucy. I know every child will have the opportunity to grow into a lifelong learner here at Brinker! It is going to be a great year! GO BEARS!!
