Dear Families:
My name is Martha Tate, I am originally from Bogota, Colombia. I started my teaching career teaching English to children, teenagers and adults back in my home country. I came to this great nation in 2005. I met my husband Brent in Arkansas where I finished my Masters degree in Spanish Literature at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where I taught Spanish to undergraduate students. I worked toward my EC-4 Texas teaching certification. I have taught kindergarten, Spanish 3rd to 6th grade, and I have been working at HeadStart as pre-K teacher since 2016.
We have two beautiful daughters, and a puppy. We love the outdoors, fruit, sing and dance, and teaching is my calling. I believe that all children are able to learn and I want to help them reach their full potential, not only academically but as individuals as well.
