Future Plans

Jacqueline Wei will attend Harvard University with an intended major in Economics. She plans to go into consulting/finance. 


In Plano ISD, she has been involved in speech and debate, Outside of the school district she works with Be the Light Youth Association and Light of Hope Immigration Law Center.

Most Influential Teacher

Jacqueline says that, "Several teachers have impacted me tremendously, including Ms. Melanie Willett (fifth grade ELA, Mathews Elementary), Ms. Patricia Kite (ninth grade Biology, Jasper High School), and Ms. Rhonda Smith (Plano West Speech and Debate). These teachers have taught me the value of compassion, grit and courage, and they have played an enormous role in my academic and personal development."

Advice to Students

"The time you have is limited, so find what you truly want to do and commit to it. Choose to challenge yourself – whether that be academically or personally. Be cognizant of your own privilege. Hold yourself to your own expectations. If you’re going to do something, do it well. Remember that failure is a learning opportunity, and never let someone else tell you how you live your life. "
