Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Liberal Arts Master's in Education

Ms. Anna Mackey

My name is Ms. Mackey, & I am a 6th & 7th grade English teacher at Guinn Special Programs.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from the University of AR at Pine Bluff and a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix.

I began my teaching career in August of 2000 with the Little Rock School District in Little Rock, AR, prior to teaching at DeSoto ISD in Desoto, TX, Duncanville ISD in Duncanville, TX, and Plano ISD in Plano, TX.

From being awarded DeSoto ISD Secondary District Teacher of the Year to being slated as a keynote speaker at the Texas Alliance for Future Educators conference, being a teacher is one of the greatest accomplishments in my life. Whether delivering instruction within the classroom or speaking before an audience of educators, my faithfulness & passion are key elements to Motivate & Engage to Reach & Teach students.

When I am not working, I enjoy being home relaxing on the couch with a great book, enjoying Facetime with my nephew, playing fetch with my doggie daughters Bailee, a Yorkshire Terrier and Madison, a Havenese.
