Ms. Amy Olivero - Star Class

After spending most of my life in the Midwest (Wisconsin/Indiana/Chicago), I moved to Dallas 11 years ago, drawn by the warm climate. This is my 8th year at Pearson, previously serving as a substitute teacher and teaching assistant prior to becoming the Star Class teacher in 2018. I love tiny humans!

My name is Amy Olivero, and when I first graduated from college, I worked extensively in the field of early intervention, and later taught in a number of non-traditional educational settings. I was eventually lead into homeschooling in order to meet the needs of my own alternative learners. I am the proud Mama of 3 birth children and 4 bonus children who are all unique and amazing!

My heart has always been in early childhood special education and I was so lucky to find a school like Pearson to continue my career in Texas. My passion is providing your beautiful kiddos with a safe, joyful, playful, learning-filled environment where they are nurtured and
honored for who they are. I love building a community with your children where kindness and respect are core values and positive social-emotional growth is a priority.

Relationships are key, and in loving and understanding your child wholly, getting to know parents is important as well. We are a team, guiding your child toward becoming the incredible person they were born to be. Family is a top priority in my life, and I hope to support yours.

Thank you for sharing your child with me. I will always strive to maintain your trust on this awesome adventure!
