I grew up in Carrollton, Texas. I am a proud alumni of the University of North Texas. This will be my eighth year teaching at Centennial Elementary. I taught fifth grade during my first year teaching. I also taught first grade for six years. This year is my second year teaching kindergarten. I am excited to instill the love of learning into our students right from the very beginning of the education and to partner with families to make a great introduction to education.  My hobbies include cooking, gardening, and crafting. I enjoy spending time with my friends, family and husband John of 8 years. I am a new mama to my sweet baby girl Nora Jane who is 5 months old.. My passion for teaching comes from the desire to make a lasting impact on students and to shape young minds. I enjoy seeing the growth that each student makes throughout the course of the school year. I look forward to a great year. Go Comets!
