- About Me
Dr. Mark Wessels
Hi, I'm Mark Wessels, the 9th-grade math teacher here at the Academy. I hold a doctorate in Radiological Science / Medical Imaging from the UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. I like to tell people that I've taken a "circuitous route" in life. Professionally, I've done many things: from working on the US Ballistic Missile defense (that was a while ago) to heading an academic program in Biomedical Engineering Technology. I've been a professional teacher since 2006. My main hobby is recreational astronomy / backyard telescopes. I never grow tired of the beauty of the stars.
