  • GT Foundations: June 20-21

If you have never completed the 30 hour foundational training for GT, you have the option of getting trained through Region 10 over the summer. This training consists of five 6-hour sessions, with options for in-person and online with a blend of synchronous and asynchronous components. The courses can be found on the GT Events Calendar. The session titles required are:

    • GT Foundations Part One: Nature and Needs
    • GT Foundations Part Two: Identification, Assessment, and Service Design
    • GT Foundations Part Three: Models of Differentiation
    • GT Foundations Part Four: Depth and Complexity
    • GT Foundations Part Five: Research, Creativity, and TPSP

Additionally, Parts 1 and 2 will be offered in-person on June 20 and 21 at the Sockwell Center. These days will be ideal for staff who have not yet completed the Foundations training but will be teaching identified GT students in the 2022-2023 school year. Register via PowerSchool for Part 1 and Part 2.

  • Summer Inspire - Sign up now!

Summer Inspire Registration Is Now Open!

Registration is now open for Plano ISD's Summer Inspire, May 31-June 2. Remember, this year's conference will offer in-person and virtual sessions. To browse available sessions, log into webdesk and look for the new icon for Summer Inspire (pictured below). This year's highlights include sessions on differentiation, Lead4Ward training, and plenty of technology.

That link will automatically log you in with your Plano ISD email. If you aren't logged in automatically, sign-up with your Plano ISD email. To select your sessions, select the circular checkbox to the left of the session names. Again, sessions will be offered in-person or virtual, so be sure to consider that as you select your courses. For virtual sessions, Zoom links will automatically post in Sched 10 minutes before the session's start time. This is a great opportunity to get an early start on your 2022-23 Trade Hours. If you have any questions about Inspire, contact Marcus Miller in Professional Learning.
