• ONBOARDING FOR DISTRICT-LEVEL STAFF

Welcome to Plano ISD! Learning, support, and are important to our district. The onboarding information below will support you in your roles as you begin to assist teachers, administrators, and other staff. There is a lot more to learn, but this information will get you started. Be sure to check with your department lead about required training and any department-specific information you may need so that you can be successful in your role.

  • District Onboarding Support

The first few months as an administrator in a new district feels like drinking from a fire hose. You need to learn the names and faces of 7000 employees, who is responsible for what, how to access 45 different software programs, 75 campuses, 17 strange new acronyms, and also you have a new full-time job. Congratulations!

This is why the PL team is offering District Onboarding Support. These weekly half-hour meetings work around your schedule, for just-in-time learning, reminders, and coaching. We can help you navigate through a new district culture or remind you about resources that you might need. Come to a coaching session with immediate needs, and we will help connect you with the right people, provide background information, and much more! We remember what it was like to be new, and we are here to help you with a friendly, empathetic ear.
