Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Amber Sanborn

Hi everyone!

I'm Ms. Sanborn and I teach one of the two 4th grade Monolingual classes. This is my 4th year in education, but first year teaching 4th grade. I moved to Plano with my boxer Ua (oo-uh) and my two cats, Bean and Basil at the end of July 2023. I love to travel the world and learn about different cultures. My two favorite hobbies are photography and collecting earth specimens (crystals, rocks, fossils).

I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education with an emphasis in English Language Arts from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. This is also where I had my first teaching experience as a 1st grade teacher. A year later, I moved to Big Island of Hawaii where I taught prek. The year after, I taught 5th grade as well as was the special teachers for Hula, Mele (singing), and Oli (chanting).

I'm happy to be at Barron and be a positive influence in my student's lives. I hope I can drive their passion for learning and doing their best as this is a core value for me when it comes to teaching
