The Plano ISD Board of Trustees is inviting community members to submit naming recommendations for the new Welcome and Enrollment Center, located at 6210 Mapleshade Lane in Dallas, which is set to open in December 2024. Naming submissions will be accepted until October 4, 2024, via this electronic form.
The 11,000 sq. ft. center aims to enhance support services for families, promoting student success through various resources, including enrollment assistance, community connections, and health services. The center will also provide a clothes closet, food pantry and support for families experiencing homelessness.

The Plano ISD Education Foundation is hosting an exciting new event in support of Plano ISD Fine Arts! Let the arts inspire you at an evening showcasing the talents of our district’s talented visual and performing arts students and hear a moderated discussion with Grammy and Tony Award-Winning actor, writer and producer, Daveed Diggs, hosted by Plano ISD alumnus Hunter Herdlicka, star of Sondheim’s A Little Night Music on Broadway. Diggs is widely known for originating the dual roles of “Thomas Jefferson” and “Marquis de Lafayette” in the Broadway sensation Hamilton. Diggs has also appeared in Pixar’s Soul and Disney’s The Little Mermaid and starred in Lionsgate’s Blindspotting.
