  • Project Management for District and Campus Leaders

Project Management Professional Learning now offers training on the standards for Project Management as outlined by PMI and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).  This system for project planning is followed by some of the most successful companies across the world including construction, technology, manufacturing, and more. Plano ISD is a project-oriented organization, and these rules and systems can help us to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close our projects in a way that has been time tested and proven effective. This training can support planning for student support options, new PL initiatives, new programs identified in your CIP, and other similar projects.

Please come with a specific project in mind that you will plan and work on as a part of this training. This course is for campus and district leaders. Sign up in PowerSchool here for our training on October 30, 1-3 PM.

Please contact Marcus Miller in PL for more information.

    Google Capacity Cohort

Introducing the Google Capacity Cohort: Principal Edition! Thanks to a generous grant from Capital One, PL has been able to offer Google Certification opportunities to nearly 700 participants. While the entire program was full in less than 48 hours, we have made room for any principal or assistant principal that is interested in participating. There has never been a better time to increase your mastery of the Google Suite for Education tools, including Google Drive and Google Classroom. Principals who participate will complete 10-12 hours of online study modules (which are Trade Eligible!), and then take a rigorous online assessment measuring proficiency to earn their Google Certified Educator credential.
Sign up here for our Kick-Off Meeting. Principals who have already registered for one of the other offerings do not need to change registrations, unless one of these new times is more convenient.

  • Campus Administrator PL Opportunities

These sessions will be offered virtually and will be hands-on to allow Principals the time to dig into the specific data sources that are available at that particular time of year. Principals will be given the tools to facilitate in-depth data analysis of specific data sources with their own staff.
