Hello Skaggs Stars! My name is Ilene Baumel and I am the Skaggs Art Specialist. I grew up in Kansas City but made my way to Texas via The University of Texas (Hook 'Em!) where I studied Applied Learning and Development with a specialization in Art. My husband Britt and I have lived in Plano for a long time, where we are raising our 3 kids.

I am passionate about the Arts in Education and believe every child has a right to explore their talent and creativity. In the Skaggs Art Studio, we will explore the art process with critical thinking skills, creativity, reflection, and a whole lot of fun!
