My name is Kyla Ahnemann and this is my nineteenth year teaching with all of them here at Skaggs! I taught 4^th grade for seven of those years and 5^th grade for two.  I am excited to continue my teaching adventure, guiding our PACE stars to reach their fullest potential for my tenth year. 

I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2006 and received a Masters degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Gifted and Talented Education from the University of North Texas in December of 2021.  My husband and I have been married for 19 years and enjoy the busy life that our 3 kiddos (Blaine-11th grade at Plano West HS, Carter-10th grade at Jasper HS, and Taylor-6th grade at Rice), 4 dogs, and a handful of fish bring us.
