Ms. Newland
I am thrilled to introduce myself, Ms. Newland, as a returning member of the Barron Elementary School teaching team. With over a decade of dedicated teaching experience, my commitment to nurturing excellence in education is truly exceptional.
Throughout my career, I have spent eight years as a devoted fifth-grade teacher, and prior to that, I enriched the minds of young learners as a third-grade educator in Dallas for three years. My years of classroom expertise bring a wealth of wisdom and a student-centered perspective at Barron. My boundless enthusiasm for guiding young minds and fostering their growth is both inspiring and unwavering.
As a proud Plano ISD student, parent and teacher, my roots within the educational community run deep. My personal journey as both a parent and a student further fuels my unwavering commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences for my students.
Beyond the classroom, I possess an extensive background in managing preschools and private schools, contributing to my holistic and well-rounded approach to education.
My commitment to education is further underscored by my membership in the prestigious Kappa Delta Pi from Texas A&M University. My exceptional teaching skills earned me the title of Distinguished Teacher in the Dallas Independent School District from 2017 to 2023. Additionally, I was honored as a Recognized Teacher by the Texas Education Agency in 2020, which exemplifies my dedication to educational innovation and my students' triumphs.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I find solace in spending cherished moments with my grown daughters and adored grandchildren.
I am confident that my fervor for education, combined with my extensive experience and diverse skill set, will make a significant and lasting contribution to the success and advancement of our students at Barron Elementary School.
