My name is Katie Horne and I am an ALC teacher at Skaggs. This year will be my 9th year teaching, and my 7th year at Skaggs! My favorite subject to teach is reading, but I enjoy science as well.

I went to college at Texas Tech, where I received a degree in early childhood education as well as special education in 2014. I also received my masters degree (Educational Diagnostician) from Texas Tech in May of 2019!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husbands name is Michael, and we have two children; Kennedy (3) and James (18 months). We love spending time outside, having family movie nights, and playing with our dog Zoey!

I love my students, my job, and being a Skaggs Star!
