I am so happy to be in my 11th year of teaching at Wyatt Elementary! I grew up in the San Diego, CA area and graduated from Cal State University San Marcos with a degree in Liberal Studies. I also received my teaching credential from Cal State San Marcos. I taught for one year in the Ramona Unified School District before moving with my husband to Fairfax, VA. In Virginia, I taught 5 years for Fairfax County Public Schools. I have three children, and took some time off from teaching to stay home with them. My oldest, Aidan, and our daughter, Ashley, were born in Virginia. My youngest, Andrew is the only one born in Texas! They attend Schimelpfenig, Clark, and Plano IB World School and are in 12th, 10th, and 8th. Aidan is playing football this year for Plano East, Ashley plays softball for Plano Senior, and Andrew plays football, basketball, and track fro Schimelpfenig. In the evenings and on weekends you can usually find us on a field somewhere in the metroplex. When I manage to get a little time to myself, I love reading books, tackling home projects, and watching movies. I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a young girl, and am so glad I get to live out my dream!
