Some people dream about meeting their favorite artists, but I get to see mine every day! I have the best job in the world! Every day I get to paint, draw, and create with some of my favorite artists! It is such a blessing to be here at the best elementary school, Wyatt Elementary!
I grew up in Richardson, Texas. I have a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Brigham Young University. I loved studying art and even had the chance to study abroad in England, France, and Italy. After I got my degree, I moved to the Caribbean to work for a year. When I got back to the states, I went to Southern Methodist University and started my career as a teacher. I graduated with a Master's degree in Education and started teaching at Wyatt shortly after that. This is my 14th year at Wyatt! I was blessed to spend 6 years teaching 4th grade at Wyatt and then moved to the art room 8 years ago.
When I'm not at school, I'm spending time with my husband Jeff and our two kids, Sydney in 7th Grade at Rice Middle School and Logan in 2nd Grade here at Wyatt. We love being outdoors, fishing, camping, and swimming.
I am excited to work with each student in the school and help cultivate creativity within each child. My class motto is "Creativity takes Courage!"
