Dr. Jamar, Principal
I am honored to serve as the principal of Harrington Elementary. I am thrilled to be a part of the Harrington family that works so hard to fulfill our vision by providing high levels of learning for all of our students in order for them to become independent, successful learners.
This year will be my seventeenth year in education. I spent seven years teaching and serving as an elementary principal in Oklahoma. During the nine years I served in Frisco ISD, I was a first grade teacher, Pre-K thru 5th grade English language arts, reading and reading (ELAR) coordinator, as well as assistant principal. I recieved my Bachelor's and Master's Degree in public school administration and school counseling from East Central University in Oklahoma. I also received my Doctorate Degree in educational leadership from the University of North Texas.
My husband, Jon, and I have been married for 14 years. We have a yorkie named Macy. Jon and I live an active lifestyle of running together every morning before school and spend every summer hiking in the mountains. When we aren't running or at school, you will find us serving in our community and internationally, most recently in Uganga, Africa. You may also run into us at a few OU football games. I look forward to building relationships and partnering together to make this school year one to remember.
