Hello! This school year will be my 8th year at Thomas Elementary, and I'm grateful to be a part of the Thomas Texan family. I work with K-5 students to support their speech, language, and communication skills.
Outside of the school day, I enjoy cooking and playing video games with my husband or snuggling up with our pets and a good book. Some of my favorite things are chocolate, the color turquoise, Disney, and succulents! I also enjoy gardening, crafting, dancing, singing, and participating in community theatre. I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to Texas when I began my college career.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with an undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology & Audiology and continued my education there, where I later graduated with my Master of Science in Communication Disorders. I am a licensed speech-language pathologist with the state of Texas, and I have also received my Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
I consider myself incredibly blessed to work in a field that I love and that makes such a difference for my students and their families. Communication is the foundation of everything we do, and everyone deserves the opportunity for their voices to be heard.
