Hi, my name is Kim Kirby, and this is my 2nd year at Thomas Elementary Kindergarten Team.  I am a product of PISD, I graduated from Plano Senior High School, Go Wildcats. After high school, I attended the University of North Texas (UNT) and received my BS in Elementary Education with a Reading Minor and a Kindergarten Endorsement.  I then furthered my education and went back to UNT and received my Masters' Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Gifted and Talented Certification.  This is my 40th year in education.  I love teaching and helping children through their journey of learning.  I have been married to my wonderful husband for 34 years, and we have three grown children. My son and his wife are both Choir teachers in the Lubbock area, one of my daughters teaches Theater at Haggard Middle School, and my youngest daughter is the graphic design artist at the Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County.   We are so proud of each of them. I also have 2 beautiful granddaughters. They are my pride and joy.  We have 2 dogs and 2 cats.  I love spending time with my family, reading, crafting and just relaxing at home.
