My name is Mrs. Ortega, this is my fourth year at Gulledge as your librarian! I have wanted to be a librarian ever since I was 10 when I found a world of imagination and possibilities on my local library shelf. I taught reading and special education for four years and preschool for two years. I have four children (two are Gators!) that love to read even more than I do! The thing I love the most about being a librarian is helping students find books that speak to their interests as well as open their minds to new perspectives. My goal for this year is to expand learning from the classroom into the library with culturally relevant, diverse, and award-winning literature.
