Welcome to our amazing school! My name is Heidi Polkes and I am excited to be working with your family. I have been teaching for over 15 years. I have my Master's Degree in Elementary Education with a strong focus on the teaching of reading and writing under Lucy Caulkins at Columbia University. I have 2 children that had the fortunate opportunity to attend Gulledge from Kindergarten through 5th grade. I married my high school sweetheart and enjoy exercising, playing with my 2 dogs,traveling and family time.
