I am excited to be joining the Plano ISD team this year as my family and I make our new home in Texas. I began teaching in the Boston, MA suburbs working with children in Preschool-2nd Grade. After finishing my master's degree in early childhood development at Tufts University, I began teaching in Connecticut. I taught preschool special education for 3 years before moving to Japan. While in Japan I worked with preschoolers in a child care facility.
Throughout this long journey I have enjoyed traveling all around the world with my husband. Together we have visited all of New England, Canada, Hawaii, Japan, and Bermuda. We now enjoy spending time at home with our son and getting to know our new neighborhood.
In my classroom I believe every student has a voice and I have the unique opportunity to help all students feel cared for and heard. My teaching philosophy and beliefs include a mix of Reggio, Montessori, and Vygotskian ideas. I enjoy creating a warm, inviting space for children to explore, create, think, and achieve.
