Hello Jackson Families,

My name is Pilar Arora and I joined Jackson Elementary in the 2020-2021 school year as a First Grade bilingual teacher.

I attended school in Mexico at Instituto Tecnologico y De Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, where I obtained my undergraduate degree in Computer Science. I worked as a systems engineer for 15 years in Mexico City, Kansas City and Dallas. Later, I obtained my Bilingual teaching certification from Region X in 2007.

I previously taught First Grade and Second Grade at Mendenhall Elementary for 13 years. I believe having two languages or more is a gift that I can help students develop and learn. I cannot wait to see all the student’s learning and growth as we progress this year. I'm excited for all the possibilities as we reach our students in new ways!
