Hello!

My name is Zaina Waheed. My preferred recognition is " Ms. Z" and this is how my kiddos address me, rather than by, "Ms. Waheed"

I am 24 years old, born and raised in Plano, Texas. I was lucky enough to have been brought up through Plano ISD myself (Haggar/Frankford/Shepton/West.) I have a wonderful family, including my baby girl, Cadence, who just turned two on July 22nd.

I began my teaching career in 2021 after completing my B.A. in Elementary Education and my M.A. in Elementary Curriculum Instruction at the Uiversity of Missississippi. Hotty Toddy!

I began my teaching career in 1st grade, however, this will be my second year in 3rd. I absolutely love third grade and STEAM even more! I couldn't be more excited to be here at Jackson, teaching math. Eventually, I plan to expand my learning by taking some counseling courses in preparation for my next goal of becoming a school counselor. 

My personal goal for this school year is to learn some basic level Spanish, so that I might be more accessible to all of my kiddos and their families:)
