Hello Jackson Family!

My name is Lyda Castellanos, I am from Colombia where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering and worked as a Foundry Lab assistant. I am married with 2 kids. My daughter is a Freshman in college and my son is a 5th grader.

I've been in Education in different roles, like volunteer mom, PTA Board in the Cultural Diversity Chair, Bilingual Teaching Assistant, 6th grade Spanish Teacher and this is my second year as PreK Bilingual Teacher at Jackson.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy watching my son’s soccer games, walking with my dogs, dancing Colombian folklore, and promoting our rich Latin American culture. I'm ready for a year filled with continuing growth, exciting experiences, positive vibes, and a genuine passion for learning!
