Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
Howdy Carpenter Families,
The deadline for applying for free/reduced lunch, even if your family is a carryover from last year, is the end of September. All families are encouraged to fill this out even if you are not getting this service since it helps PISD identify the needs of each community. Each parent MUST fill out the application even though the district has announced that we have universal free breakfast/lunch for all PISD students through December to make sure, if eligible, that they can receive free/ reduced lunch after December.
The easiest way to access the application for free lunch is to click on the Student and Family tab on the district website, and then scroll down to Free/Reduced Lunch on the left. Then, click on the School Café. Everyone must have or create an account. English and Spanish options are available.
Parents can access the following web sites to apply for online free and reduced meal benefit application. Once they have created their user account, they can link their students to their account and apply online.
If parents want the paper application, you can access the following URL and print out a copy. However, go online because paper applications take much longer to get to our office.
Volleyball Home Games
Hello CMS Community!
We wanted to update you on some changes that will be taking place for all Plano ISD Volleyball HOME games.
Due to UIL COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Guidelines, the spectator gym will have a limited capacity to allow for social distancing. To help manage those capacity limitations and to minimize contact with paper tickets and money, all ticket sales for Plano ISD Volleyball HOME games will be online only. Spectators will have the opportunity to purchase tickets through the Plano ISD Athletics website the week of the game. Tickets may also be purchased on a mobile device using a QR code that will also be posted at the game. There will be a limit on the number of tickets that may be purchased per person.
- Plano ISD employee badges will still be accepted and will allow one (1) employee to enter the game (no spouses or children).
- No substitute badges will be honored.
- We will be unable to accept the RSVP (senior citizen) passes.
- No passes (UIL District passes, THSCA passes, etc.) will be accepted.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and attention to these expectations.

PISD has launched a Family Resource page on the district’s website. This page provides a searchable list that families, community members and school staff can utilize to help find community resources in order to meet a family’s needs. The list is searchable by agency name, zip code and category. Categories include such areas as basic needs (food assistance, housing assistance), health care (medical, dental, vision), and mental health (substance abuse, counseling, etc.). Links to the site will be available on the district webpage and we would encourage you to share this information on your campus website and through eNews.
The family resource page can be found at https://www.pisd.edu/familyresources
