    Free and Reduced Lunch Applications

    Howdy Carpenter Families,

The application for free/reduced lunch is still open. All families are encouraged to fill this out even if you are not getting this service since it helps PISD identify the needs of each community.  Each parent MUST  fill out the application even though the district has announced that we have universal free breakfast/lunch for all PISD students through December to make sure, if eligible, that they can receive free/ reduced lunch after December.

The easiest way to access the application for free lunch is to click on the Student and Family tab on the district website, and then scroll down to Free/Reduced Lunch on the left.  Then, click on the School Café.  Everyone must have or create an account.  English and Spanish options are available.

Parents can access the following web sites to apply for online free and reduced meal benefit application. Once they have created their user account, they can link their students to their account and apply online.

If parents want the paper application, you can access the following URL and print out a copy. However, go online because paper applications take much longer to get to our office.

     For Staff only

  • Community Resources

PISD has launched a Family Resource page on the district’s website. This page provides a searchable list that families, community members and school staff can utilize to help find community resources in order to meet a family’s needs. The list is searchable by agency name, zip code and category. Categories include such areas as basic needs (food assistance, housing assistance), health care (medical, dental, vision), and mental health (substance abuse, counseling, etc.). Links to the site will be available on the district webpage and we would encourage you to share this information on your campus website and through eNews.

The family resource page can be found at
