  • Gateway Summer Engineering Camp 

     

    Registration for the Gateway Summer Engineering Camp is now open! This summer’s camp will be a virtual, yet hands-on, project-based camp designed to introduce incoming 7th and 8th grade middle school students to the fundamentals of STEM and Project Lead the Way (PLTW) engineering courses within Plano ISD. Certified PLTW instructors provide expert instruction in a fun, exciting environment using leading-edge technologies to sample engineering related activities and projects and get a taste of how fun it can be to be an engineer.  Cost of the camp is $100.   • Attention Sixth and Eighth Grade Students ~

    All 6th and 8th grade students will engage in online learning AT HOME Tuesday, April 13th.  Please make sure to sign in to each class and follow the direction of your teachers.  Students will return to campus Wednesday, April 14th.  

    Attention Seventh Grade Students ~

    All 7th grade Face to Face students will take the Writing STAAR test on campus Tuesday, April 13th.  

    Only 7th grade School@Home students that completed the new STAAR survey or informed Ms. Jordan about taking the Writing STAAR test are to report to campus Tuesday, April 13th.  The new STAAR survey is located on the School@Home letter sent today via email.  It can also be located on the school's website or on Facebook.  

     

    All students are back to regular schedule (either F2F or S@H) Wednesday, April 14th.

    Atención estudiantes de Sexto y Octavo Grado ~

     

    Todos los estudiantes de Sexto y Octavo grado participarán en el aprendizaje en línea EN CASA el Martes 13 de Abril. Asegúrese de registrarse en cada clase y seguir las instrucciones de sus maestros. Los estudiantes regresarán al campus el Miércoles 14 de Abril.

     

    Atención estudiantes de Séptimo grado ~

    Todos los estudiantes de 7º grado Cara a Cara tomarán el examen STAAR de escritura en el campus el Martes 13 de Abril.

    Solo los estudiantes de 7º grado de Escuela en Casa que completaron la nueva encuesta STAAR o informaron a la Sra. Jordan acerca de tomar la prueba STAAR de escritura deben presentarse en la escuela el Martes 13 de Abril. La nueva encuesta STAAR se encuentra en la carta Escuela en Casa enviada hoy por correo electrónico. También se puede encontrar en el sitio web de la escuela o en Facebook.

     

    Todos los estudiantes regresaran al horario regular (ya sea Cara a Cara o Escuela en Casa ) el Miércoles 14 de Abril.

  • Student Technology Equipment Checkout Guidelines

    The Student and Parent/Guardian will be charged for damages or loss of their issued Device/Chromebook according to the fee schedule in the link below.

    Repair/Replacement Cost

    Technology equipment that is used inappropriately, lost, damaged, or defaced may result in limited or banned computer use, disciplinary consequences, removal from courses, loss of credit, receiving a failing grade, legal action, and/or assessed fees consistent with Policy CMD (Legal). During the time that outstanding fees remain uncollected, the District may withhold student records including, but not limited to, grades, schedules, transcripts, and/or report cards. If full payment cannot be made at one time, a payment plan may be offered by PISD.

  • State and Federal Report Card

    The 2019-2020 School Report Cards for Carpenter Middle School has now been released, and posted to the Carpenter Middle School website www.pisd.edu/carpenter_ar. The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures. The information contained in the School Report Card is described in the “School Report Card Definitions.”  The Federal Report Card is also available at https://tea.texas.gov/texas-schools/accountability/academic-accountability/performance-reporting/federal-report-cards.     PISD has launched a Family Resource page on the district’s website. This page provides a searchable list that families, community members and school staff can utilize to help find community resources in order to meet a family’s needs. The list is searchable by agency name, zip code and category. Categories include such areas as basic needs (food assistance, housing assistance), health care (medical, dental, vision), and mental health (substance abuse, counseling, etc.). Links to the site will be available on the district webpage and we would encourage you to share this information on your campus website and through eNews.

  • Immunization Update for 2019-2020

    There are some additional immunizations that will be required in the 2019-2020 school year for 7th grade entry.  Proof of these immunizations will be required to begin school for the 2019-2020 school year.

    To view a copy of your child’s immunization record as currently on file with the school, please go to Parent Portal.

    The 2021-22 elementary transfer request process will begin April 19 at 8:00 a.m. At that time, please visit www.pisd.edu/transfer to receive an online tracking number. Once you have obtained your online tracking number, you will receive instructions detailing how to submit your transfer request electronically. Read more.
