Mrs. (Miller)-Sorenson
I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Secondary Education/Social Studies. The motto at BYU is "Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve." I have always had a passion for helping people solve problems and achieve their goals. This has included being actively involved in PTA, Scouts, Love Where You Live, Destination Imaginations and my church. I am the mother of five former Carpenter Cowboys and one current Cowboy. My own children were greatly influenced by teachers at Carpenter. While serving as a parent on the SBIC committee at Carpenter, I was so impressed with these same teachers' vision, love, and dedication that I decided I wanted to work with them. I have worked at Carpenter Middle School in the Special Education Program for the past eight years. I teach 8th Grade Resource English and Reading. My passion is helping students recognize their talents, accept themselves in spite of imperfections, and acquire the skills or tools they need to be successful.
