I grew in DeSoto, Texas. I attended Beltline Elementary , and believe it or not, I still remember my school song! Growing up, I loved writing poetry, riding my bike around the neighborhood, roller skating in my garage, and played many sports. In high school I played volleyball, basketball and softball. In 2005, I received an academic and softball scholarship to Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas where I played four years of collegiate softball with my older sister and ran cross country. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in EC-4 Interdisciplinary Studies and ESL.
Jackson Elementary has been my one and only home where I have taught 4th grade, third grade, and have been an instructional specialist. This is my 16th year at Jackson and my third year as team leader of the 4th grade team . I am married with two beautiful children, Makenna, who is in 3rd grade here at Jackson, and Rhett, who will be joining us in Kinder. I am proud to be a Jackson Jaguar and always will.
