My formal education is from Purdue University with a B.S. in Child Development and Family studies.   My husband and I grew up in the same area (South Bend, Indiana) and we met during our freshman year of college at Purdue University.  Finding a new job brought us to the North Texas area where we have been for the last 24 years.

I have 8 siblings who all live out of state (Georgia, Florida, Indiana, and Wisconsin) and I have 3 children.  My oldest child is a girl who has graduated from Texas A & M /from OSU Vet School and is now practicing in the area and living only 10 minutes from home.    My middle son graduated from UNT,  loves flying, playing golf and traveling.  He currently works at Southwest.  My youngest son has graduated from ASU with a BS in Bio-Chem.  He is currently working in WI and is a LAB assistant and looking into graduate programs.  

A few of my hobbies include  gardening, craft projects and taking nature walks/ hikes.  I have traveled to a couple of different national parks (Glacier National, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Giant Sequoia, Yosemite and Appalachian mountains) where I was able to walk a portion of the Appalachian trail, look at a buffalo head on, from inside my car, and feel the wonderment of melting water from a glacier.   The world is a beautiful place.... let's go explore.
