My name is Bridgett Prather, and I am thrilled to serve as your assistant principal this school year.
I am a true Texan; I was born and raised in a small East Texas town near Tyler. I joined the United States Air Force shortly after graduation and proudly served my country for four years. While in the military, I volunteered as a mentor and discovered my passion for working with youth.
I have been with the Plano ISD family since 2012. I have taught at middle school and elementary campuses as a classroom teacher and worked as an Instructional Coach for several years. I hold a Master of Arts in Mathematics from Texas Woman’s University and attended Lamar University to obtain my principal certification. In my quest to continually learn and grow, I also earned my personal coaching certification from the CaPP (Coaching and Positive Psychology) Institute.
When I’m away from my school family, I love to spend time in nature admiring the sunset, traveling to new places, seeking ways to grow, and enjoying time with my family. My husband and I have raised two amazing young men.
I look forward to serving our Thomas Texans by nurturing a climate of inspiration and promoting a culture of success. I am excited to partner with you to provide excellence in education for all students and strive to empower our students and teachers to be caring, responsible, life-long learners with big dreams.
Here’s to another outstanding school year!
