Hello! I am Rachel Ashby and I am the 504 Coordinator and an Instructional Coach at Weatherford. Previously, I taught 3rd grade for nine years. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2012 (Axe 'Em Jacks!) with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I realized pretty early on in my career that I had a real passion for literacy instruction and went on to receive my Masters in Reading in 2016. My goal is to give students the tools they need in order to be successful readers while also inspiring a passion for reading and learning in general. When I'm not working, I love traveling, spending time outdoors with friends, and learning new skills.
