My name is Olivia de Santiago and I am beyond excited to serve as the Dyslexia Support Specialist.  I received a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from West Texas A& M and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Development from Texas A&M-Commerce.  I am certified in the areas of General Education grades 1-8, Early Childhood Education, Bilingual Education, English as a Second Language and Special Education. I have been teaching for many years.  Before coming to Plano ISD, I taught in Amarillo ISD, Istanbul and Dallas ISD.  Through my education and experience, I have acquired a true passion for supporting children with dyslexia.  I am also passionate about it because my son and several family members are dyslexic.  My favorite book is Thank you, Mr. Falker by Patricia Palocco because it inspired me to be that teacher for all students that come into my life. On the weekends I am busy with our four kids and two maltese dogs. I also enjoy reading, binge watching shows and deep cleaning our house.
