Rebecca Colquitt

Welcome to McCall! I grew up in the Piney Woods of East Texas.  I graduated with honors from Baylor University (Sic 'Em Bears) with a Bachelor of Science in Education focusing on grades 4-8 Mathematics.  I continued my education at Dallas Baptist University and received a Master of Education in School Counseling (all levels).  Prior to becoming a school counselor, I taught 5th grade Mathematics.  When I am not at school, you can find me exercising, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my church, friends, and family.

I have a passion for helping others, and I love getting to be an advocate for the students here at McCall.  As a school counselor, I get to work with students in a variety of ways, such as teaching guidance lessons to all classes twice per month.  Some of the topics during these lessons include conflict resolution, bully prevention, kindness, empathy, college and career readiness, and more.  It is such a privilege to work with students, parents, and staff to help students grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
