This is my first year at Hightower! I am so excited, just delighted and overwhelmed with joy to be a part of the Hightower Tigers team this 2024 – 2025 school year.  This year will be my 17^th year as an educator but my first year as a Dyslexia Therapist. I have experience teaching from Pre-K/PPCD – 5^th grade.  Teaching for me is not just a profession, but it’s my purpose in life.

In Mrs. Lusk’s classroom, it’s my job to create a safe classroom where each student can grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.  An atmosphere where he/she feels OK to share their ideas, ask questions and make mistakes; which is all part of the learning process. I want every student to know I am there to assist them, to reach their full potential.  Most importantly, I want them to know, “I love them just as much as I believe in them.”

When I am not working, I enjoy reading inspirational books, attending church, eating Mexican food, drinking Dr. Peppers, swimming, working with horses and spending time with my family.
