Hello Jackson Family!
My name is Giselle Arroyo and I recently graduated from the University of North Texas in December of 2021 with my bachelors of science in Bilingual Education EC-6. It is very exciting to be teaching in the district where I grew up and went to school. Growing up, I had two worlds; one filled with beautiful Hispanic culture; an enriching language, and delicious food! Meanwhile, the other I had at school where I learned a completely different language, the ins and outs of Texas, phonics, as well as great mathematics. Merging my two worlds and seeing them come together was one of the most rewarding things! As a bilingual teacher in Second Grade, I feel proud and excited to be able to motivate students to also feel proud of every single aspect of their identity!
I cannot wait to see what this new year holds for my class, our Second Grade team, and everyone of us here in the Jackson family! I hope to be a helping hand when possible!
