Mrs. Cauhape is honored and excited to be a teacher at Andrews Elementary! She looks forward to building relationships within the Andrews community. 

Mrs. Cauhape grew up in Artesia, New Mexico.  She attended Texas Tech University and received her undergraduate degree in Human and Family Studies, with a focus on Elementary Education.  She later received her Master of Education degree.  

Prior to being at Andrews, she was a third grade teacher, a third grade team leader, and then the Instructional/Dyslexia Specialist at Hughston Elementary.  She is trained in Take Flight and is currently seeking her Certified Academic Language Therapy certification. 

In her free time, Mrs. Cauhape enjoys spending time with her family. Nothing brings Mrs. Cauhape more joy than her daughter’s smile or hugs. At a table, with an endless amount of good salsa, is one of her favorite places to be. 

Mrs. Cauhape is passionate about motivating students to seek and interpret knowledge – autonomous learners will continue to pursue greater learning experiences!
