Mrs. Amanda Sims
I am Mrs. Amanda Sims and I'm excited to be working at Stinson Elementary! I began my career in education back in 2004. Prior to that, I was a newspaper editor at a small daily paper in North Louisiana. I earned my Bachelors Degree at Northeast Louisiana University (Now University of Louisiana at Monroe), and completed my post baccalaureate teacher education at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. I completed my Masters Degree in Special Education at Drury Unversity in Springfield, MO. I love teaching and believe that a good education is the passport to a bright, successful future - and it is my job to help your child achieve that future. I've taught students of all ages, and for the past seven years I have been at the high school level. I am very excited to be teaching at the elementary level again! I believe in celebrations, so in addition to lots of learning in my classroom, we will celebrate achievements, both large and small.
Please do not hesitate to call me with any questions, or concerns about your child - and please share their celebrations with me, so we can celebrate their achievements in our classroom.
