Hi there, Saigling Stallions! I am so excited to be teaching fifth grade at Saigling Elementary. I am a product of Plano ISD myself, and I am thrilled that I have returned to the district where I went to school.

I went to Stephen F. Austin State University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Forest Wildlife Management with a minor in biology.  I graduated from SFA and went on to get my Master’s degree in Range, Wildlands, and Aquatics Management from Texas Tech University. Once I graduated from college, I worked at the Dallas Zoo and the Holifield Science Learning Center as an informal science educator for 4 years while also substitute teaching. After 5 years of substitute teaching and loving every minute of it, I decided to go back to school to make the transition to a full-time teaching position.  This will be my 5th year teaching at Saigling, and I am so pleased to be in a situation where I can foster a love of learning in each and every one of my students.

Besides education, my passions include spending time hiking outdoors, soccer, and playing board games with my friends and family. My husband Ethan and I live in Plano with our adorable 5 year old rat terrier troublemaker named Scout and a big goofy and floofy sheltie named Harry Lee. I am looking forward to a fantastic year at Saigling where we care, share, and shine!
