I am excited to begin my 20^th year of teaching music at Saigling Elementary. I grew up in Northern California and then moved to the desert of west Texas where I graduated from Odessa High School. I moved on to Hardin-Simmons University where I earned my Bachelor of Music Education. I knew from the start of my education that music was my passion and that I wanted to teach elementary music. After graduating from college, I moved back to Odessa and taught elementary music as well as voice. In 1996,  I moved to the DFW area and taught in Lewisville ISD and Allen ISD. In 2000, I joined Plano ISD and taught elementary music at Stinson Elementary School for 3 years. After the birth of my son, I took a year off to stay home with him. In 2005, I was excited to accept a position at Saigling. I have been a proud Saigling Stallion ever since!

I am so thankful for my very patient, supportive husband, Rich. We have two children –Aidan who is a junior at Texas A&M and Annaliese who is 17 and a Senior this year!. They all keep me smiling! I also have the honor of singing with the Dallas Symphony Chorus which makes for an interesting schedule in December but is totally worth the reward of singing with such a fine group.

I look forward to sharing my passion for music with your child this year. My goal is for every child to have the tools needed to enjoy music in new and meaningful ways by the end of their elementary career. This year is going to rock in music class!
