I grew up attending Plano ISD and graduated from Plano Senior High School.  I attended Texas Women's University, where I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene.  I worked in the Dental Hygiene field for over 15 years.   I then switched to teaching, so I could be on the same schedule as my children.  I am starting my 16th year at Williams.  I began in the Special Education Department for 3 years but then had the opportunity to utilize my medical background.  I obtained my Career and Technology Certification in Health Sciences and have been teaching it for the last 12 years.  I also have the Professional Communication certificate, so the Health Science students get credit for that while taking my class.

I have had the pleasure of developing the Health Sciences Academy from the ground up and have been teaching the 9th graders since we opened.  

 I have lived in Murphy for over 23 years and all three of my children graduated from Plano East Senior High School.   I enjoy the community I work in and the students I work with.
