I have been teaching Family and Consumer Science in the Career and Technology Department at Williams High School since 2004.
GO PANTHERS!
I earned my Teaching degree from Baylor University, SIC EM BEARS! and my Masters in Teacher Leadership from Lamar University, GO CARDINALS!
I have been happily married to my husband, James, for 35 years and we have two daughters who graduated from Plano Senior High School.
I find a lot of fulfillment in teaching practical career and life skills, especially to high school students. The courses I teach may vary, depending on students' interests and needs. Currently, they include: Introduction to Culinary Arts, Child Development, and Dollars & Sense. All are one-semester courses.
I believe in giving students many opportunities to achieve career readiness, so I include as many practical career applications in my lessons as possible.
