Hello  families and friends! My name is Laura Beth Burton, this is my 12th year teaching music, and 10th year at Bethany Elementary. I am an alumna of Plano East Sr. High, Go Panthers! I have a B.A. in Liberal Arts Vocal Performance, and a B.A. in Music Education from Texas Woman's University. I also have been endorsed by the Organization of American Kodály Educators, which means I am certified to teach students using the Kodály method of music education.   

My loving family consists of my husband, Chandler, our three kiddos, and two dogs. When I'm not teaching, you'll find me spending quality time with my family, doing yoga, gardening, cooking/baking, crafting, and creating/enjoying new music.

In my music room there will be creativity, risk-taking, excitement, creative movement, discussion, and a love and passion for music. We are all musicians in our own way!
